I had to try to explain this to my asian bf when he asked why is it that I'm open to dating outside my race except for dating white men & why I'm wary of white people. I had to explain to him why black people are raised to be wary of white people because of racism & how just because the person may not be racist we still live in a racist country where being somewhere with a white companion will not change make you safer.

Really good video as always! You were very clear that your study is very informal, but I still have some comments about the results. Namely, selection bias as a result of your respondents skewing younger. 1) Few respondents stayed in the sphere for years. But men who stay longer are likely to be older and thus less likely to discover your survey. 2) The younger they were when they joined, the longer they stayed. But again, if we assume they're still relatively young, theres an upper limit on how many years they could have spent in the sphere, and that upper limit necessarily scales with how young they joined. To reduce this bias you'd have to also sample from current manosphere members (or wait longer for them to leave), and I get that's hard. And you might very well still find similar results. I just want to point out alternative interpretations for what you found.

That quote from Eddie was heartbreaking. I was pushed pretty hard into my highschool football program because I showed some talent. At 17, I suffered several injuries playing and was doing physical therapy... For a game. I was a literal child. 😅 I just wanted to play music with my friends and try to hang with girls... It took a lot of courage to tell my dad and my coaches I just wanted to quit. I can only imagine the pressures on these young men with the promises of cycle-breaking wealth in the balance. Its easy to say "well they are lucky" or "they're talented" but in reality, the costs of that talent and luck are very real. These systems often take these boys in, chew them up and spit them out.

I played as a varsity running back in highschool and even that was enough bodily punishment to last me a lifetime. Tackling drills with the linebackers, sprinting drills with the receivers, blocking drills with the linemen and playbook reviews with the quarterbacks; running backs have to do it all, they don't get to specialize. I suffered a bad, bad concussion at 17. Several ankle sprains later and just couldn't love the game anymore. I was literally a child and I was hobbling around, having severe head pains and doing physical therapy. And this was all just highschool! I don't know how these guys do this on a collegiate and professional level. It's a shame these roles (and roles everywhere) are valued by what employers can get away with paying them, and not based on the demands and risks inherent in the jobs. With this in mind, jobs like teachers, nurses, and warehouses workers stand out as positions in need of more compensation as well. This take is right on the money for where we are at in this country right now.

Anytime a guy shows up and says he knows what's wrong or bad in a person, they are often talking about themselves. It was the same with Kevin Samuels. He talked about men and women being out of shape, needing to lose weight, not taking care of their health, and ultimately ending up alone. He was the very man he was talking down to.

I do not know near enough about topics like this because I actively try to avoid political videos, they’re just a mess and it’s not my thing. The problem I see here is that a lot of men and boys are simply too hung up on straight womens' type preferences. That is only straight womens' call to make and no one else's. Anyone who is of a different orientation should just focus on their own type preferences. (NOTE: I count straight man and straight woman as two different orientations.)

2:45 Yes but the labels have taken control once again. They have taken control of the top playlists of Spotify. To get on the editorial playlists that get lots of streams you have to be signed to a major. They’ve paid off spotify to only post their artists to the big playlists. They are unfortunately still gatekeeping. Music is the only thing that is still gatekeeped. Also another trend is the major labels like UMG, Sony, Atlantic are now rebranding and posing as independent labels to attract artists because they know that theyre hated now. So like 100k Entertainment for example comes off as independent but is actually run by UMG CEO Lucian Grange’s son, Elliot Grange. And other “independent labels” like pulse recordings, orchard are all taking deals with those crooked major labels like umg and sony again. So the loop continues

1:01:39 Why does Drake have to speak on black struggles or the black experience in his music? There are many of your points that you never elaborated on why they're relevant or important. You seem like an intelligent dude especially on the topic. But so many times in this video I was like 'that comes off as racist'.

I remember being forced to watch the VHS "Men are from Mars, and Women are from Venus" in one of my college courses (I think it was psychology or sociology). As a socialized woman, I could not relate to any of the women. It wasn't until I got a little older, hit my 30s, did I realize I was aromantic and asexual, but also that I had very different expectations for my relationships than the average socialized woman. Sure, financial stability was important to me, but I don't think I wanted my partner to be the primary breadwinner nor play into weird gender norms. I thought something was wrong with me, so I would pretend to want what all the other women said they wanted. I tried to obtain what my mother told me to look for in a partner, particularly a man. None of it ever worked out for me. As soon as I discovered who I was and what really made me happy, I truly walked that path of contentment with the relationships I value. Trying to seek these weird gendered relationships can't possibly make every single partnership happy if we are all multifaceted individuals.

1:06:15 as a fan of hannibal, I have to defend the relationship of the couple bc it was the only real relationship and representation of deep love in the show, you can’t just simplify representation by saying that “she died early in the show” as if it almost doesn’t count, she wasn’t even the serial killers wife she was the wife of an FBI agent, you got it all wrong and it doesn’t make justice to them. I’ll never forget them, I loved them, her dying was so painful

Ayy! As someone of Irish and Italian ancestry, appreciate the nod at our stubborness to fully adopt "whiteness". And you're right! I had uncles who used to tell me how they hated how SInatra was held up by so many Italian-Americans as an idol or role model. They would call him a "Wonder Bread W*p" because he would regularly do things that they viewed as betraying his heritage and trying to appeal to "white" audiences, like telling Dean Martin to change his name because it sounded to Italian. On the other hand, my uncles said they wished more people instead recognized Louis Prima, who was very proud of his heritage and his dark complexion often got him mistaken for being Black.

Alright I am not black, but I am a minority in USA. I had white hispanic bfs all my life but when I tell you the degree of privilege that emanates from my American white boyfriend is just impressive, from my hispanic racially diverse perspective I can tell this is something that can be classified as just cultural shock since this country has a lot of history but barely any culture, the culture is just examples of capitalism and showcase of political association. Where I come from we have typical dances, ethnic clothing, sports; the thing is in United States of America you can find all these things but in my country all of this tie our community together, we recognize these symbols as roots of what’s in us and how besides our skin color we all relate to these pieces of our own history. My bf and his family have a different approach to things and different priorities than mine as an immigrant, I value that bc that’s who they are as a person, but the reality is that we are just not the same. I explain my boyfriend that I wanted him to realize that he is dating someone who is totally different than him, who doesn’t have the same level of acquisition, rights and responsibilities and that it’s his job as the person with more power to share his privilege and actively look for ways to improve my life, he agrees with me he understands his position as someone who is dating an immigrant. Besides of whatever result is in this relationship I find it fascinating how 2 completely different backgrounds can merge to find a middle ground. If only black people didn’t have to fight for literal human rights to reach the possibility of common ground maybe it wouldn’t be so stigmatized to be in a biracial relationship in united states

Comments are saying this video aged well, and I'm not disagreeing, but if anything, the past month has kind of disproven this video's thesis. Unlike with Pusha T, Drake losing this rap battle has had HUGE consequences. His career will never be the same. Gatekeepers and hip-hop culture have effectively expelled him from any GOAT conversation and no amount of marketability will bring him back in it

One thing that really stood out here for me in your intro segment was the insightful observation that people react to leftist ideas as though they were just some kind of emotional impulse or social meme. Liberals like to pretend that ideas like equity, solidarity and intersectionality don't have a history or reasoning process that brought them into existence. Let's just act like social justice was a fashion that caught on in 2020, and then we can make ourselves believe that eventually it went out of style.

Then, just like hip-hop, they started to corrupt it with movies like you got served and stomp the yard, showing people actually fighting and threatening violence over it.

When men taught men to be men and women taught women to be women there was balanced gender roles. Men overtime made it easier to be a man, and of course many men had a woman in their corner providing ideas and that motivation men used to make being a man easier.
